Postponed/Re-Scheduled Races
If a race is postponed or re-scheduled, either to later in the day or to another day and final declarations stand then bets stand. However, single bets on horse racing will be made void and any selection involved in accumulative bets will be treated as a non-runner if:
-
The race is abandoned.
-
The race is officially declared void.
-
The conditions of the race are altered after bets are made (as defined under Tattersalls rules).
-
The venue is altered.
ReRuns
In the event of a false start, etc. resulting in a race being rerun, 'under starter's orders' is negated and stakes will be refunded on horses taking no part in the rerun. Returns on the remaining runners subject to Rule 4 (Deductions). The number of runners taking part in the rerun governs Place terms.
Walkovers and Void Horse Races
Walkovers and void races count as races but any horse so involved will be treated as a non-runner for settlement purposes.
Coupled Horses
Where Fixed Odds are offered on a race involving coupled horses, then odds will be offered for each named horse individually, and the individual finishing position of each named selection will be used specifically for settlement purposes.
Some horses may be coupled in all Tote pools. If a bet is placed on two or more coupled selections and one is a non-runner then the bet will stand on the remaining selection(s). When coupled horses finish first and second (11A or vice versa) then for settlement purposes Exactas and Quinellas will apply to the 3rd place horse.
Early Morning Prices/Day of Event Prices
After the final declarations stage, non-runner no bet. Rule 4 (Deductions) will apply.
Best Odds Guaranteed
Best Odds Guaranteed is available to all new and eligible customers on every Horse race where we offer fixed price Win and Each Way betting; and includes singles and multiples as well as Bet Boost and Showcast bets subject to Terms and Conditions specific to the offer.
Betting Without
Dead-heat rules apply. Where we offer prices on an event without a nominated selection(s), for settlement purposes the finishing position of the ‘without’ selection(s) will be ignored. If the specified ‘without’ selection is a non-runner, bets stand.
Non-Runners
In the event of a non-runner(s) a Rule 4 deduction will be applied based on the price (in the specified ‘without’ market) of the non-runner at the time of withdrawal. In the case of a non-runner(s) leaving only one quoted runner in a ‘without’ market, then our Walkover rules will apply and bets will be void.
Where there are no finishers in a race, excluding the ‘without’ selections then all bets will be void.
Each Way
Any Each Way terms advertised are settled on the actual number of runners who take part in the race, excluding the ‘without’ selection(s).
Dead Heats
Where two selections dead-heat half the stake money is lost and the full odds are paid to the other half. If more than two dead-heat the stake is proportioned accordingly.
Reserves
In races with reserves, all participants will be priced. Where reserves do not run, then no Rule 4 (Deductions) will be applicable.
However if a reserve takes the place of a withdrawn horse (therefore becoming an official runner), but is subsequently declared a non-runner, then a Rule 4 (Deductions) may apply.
In races with reserves, any bets taken prior to a reserve horse being declared to run and if the reserve was not priced up at the time the bet was placed, then any such bets will be settled on the result 'without the reserve runner(s)'. Each way bets settled on the result 'without the reserve runner(s)' will be based on the number of runners, excluding reserves, that start the race.
